Shred Vermont...and pancakes

ok, so its been over a year since my last post...what can i say, i have been a busy girl. while london has not called me back yet, vermont is now calling my name. This weekend, i am getting into a moni van with 5 others to drive 4 hours to ski mt. snow. this should be fun. as there are 22 people in one house. which only sleeps 16 technically.

last time this group of friends went on a trip together:
- someone's mom did a body shot off of another's chest dent
- we nearly got kicked out of an apple orchard
- if we didnt eat wendys, we only ate pancakes
- boys were bodysurfing a 15 passenger van, naked, before we even got to the bronx

this should be fun. especially since i have bronchitis & have not been skiing since sundance 2 years ago. hopefully the bruising will be to a minimum, and no one will drowned in the hot tub.

yay for snow gods. i haven't been to mt. snow in over 15 years. but they are celebrating mardi gras this weekend....this could be AMAZING.

London bridges falling down, falling down...

london has been, to say the very least...interesting. not because of the sights i have seen. But because I think London has it out for me.

you see, every trip I take to london seems to have its problems. nearly 10 years ago, on my first trip, what was intended to be a four day trip, turned into 2 1/2, along with a 14 hour plane ride & an unexpected stop at a foreign military base for emergency repairs. now, i dont complain, as i am always glad for an emergency stop vs something worse. But needless to say, my first trip was...a little shorter than anticipated.

This trip has not been without its...issues? the first began when my friend who I was suppose to visit showed up at my work unexpectedly. alas, she was deported. and as we were soon to find out, the british immigrantion group likes to take there time getting visas back to you following a deportation.

so London became a solo trip. so far.
luckily, some gracious friends have been kind enough to show me around. I have seen the famous Brick Lane ( and purchased some yummy mangos)...the artist markets are amazing...and so many...and the best indian food..I mean its brick lane.

jet lag always hits me at weird times...

Hello Brooklyn

so after unofficially living in brooklyn for about 10 months recently, only to abruptly not, it is official...i am now a resident.
I know, i am a little late on the hipster/scenster trend, but i wasn't really paying attention to it anyways.

This weekend my hot asian friend San & I are moving into a cute loft space in williamsburg, off the Bedford L. It's super cute, in an old factory, so it has personality, and one of the walls is already magenta, so it was destiny.

Plus, it has a bigger bathtub than any of the apartments I have lived in the past few years, so I am super stoked for extra long baths!

The LES has been great to me over the last few years, but at this point the bridge & tunnelers can keep it- along with the high rent & small space!

Wish me luck. Moving in 90 degree weather is usually ill advised!

How did you celebrate Pride?

happy pride to all you boys & girls. Even though it is raining, I hope those of you that were planning to watch the parade still do. (Look for my little Mikey in the marriage equility.org group)

We celebrated Pride last night by going to Cattyshack, a cute lesbian bar, in Park Slope of all places (who knew!) We had crazy fun dancing our asses off. The rest of the night is not for this blog...
