I am so done with L.Lo

After being inundated this week by the New York press, I am officially declaring Lindsay Lohan a has-been starlet. Some may claim this to be a little hasty, or just plain unwarranted. But after two weeks of media domination (with a small exception about a bump with the surname Jolie-Pitt), I am exhausted hearing about Lindsay.

Her name is mentioned. I roll my eyes.

Within the past 13 days, she has:
· Had an hosted a new years party in Miami
· Had an asthma attack (and perhaps a pregnancy scare?), leading to hospitalization
· Graced the cover of Vanity Fair, claiming heartbreak & bulimia
· Issued a denial of such claims (if it was false, issue the denial to the Associated Press. Not Teen People.)
· Attended a Tarts of Pleasure DJ set at a local neighborhood bar of mine.
· Reportedly left Scarlett Johansson a message on the wall of said bar claiming “Scarlett is a bloody cunt”

Enough already with media coverage of this girl!

The only thing that makes this even interesting is that she is one of the few celebrities that still acts childish, and allow the paparazzi have access to it.

She has not had any a successful hit since “Mean Girls.” In movies or music. I know she has a bunch of movies in the works, including Garrison Keeler’s movie. But really- that is an ensemble piece, so I am not sure we will be able to warrant any success to Lindsay alone.

As for the Scarlett thing- how childish can you get? I understand, Scarlett may not be the friendliest person ever. But that is just natural when you are a New Yorker. Yes, Lindsay is a New Yorker too. But growing up in Merrick is like living in Richville, USA. You start getting manicures at age 4. Everyone kisses everyone’s ass. Being fake is in the genetic code.

Please don’t get me wrong- I wasn’t always tired of Ms. Lohan. I thought she was a great child actor & thoroughly enjoy “Mean Girls”. But after the car accidents, Jared Leto stalkings & other assorted media frenzies, can’t the press give it a rest. I know- sometimes she makes it so easy. But if you keep letting her act like this, she will be the youngest diva yet.

Some claim that the press only react to what sells to the public. So here is my cry to the public- Stop finding her gossip so juicy! I know this is hard- I alone find myself disgusted by the insane amount of celebrity gossip I know & read about. But consider this- restraining yourself from this one gossip item is easier that that new year’s diet resolution!
